Thx. I am new to hubpages and doing well though i only have 1 article so far. I will now spend more time writing other articles.

I don't think that need many hubs to get a high hubscore(above 70) but additional hubs might be needed to increase your profile hubscore.

I took the 30dc too... good stuff! Regarding Hubpages, I put up my first hub a few days ago and I have a 67/64 right now. I\'m not bragging in anyway, I\'m telling you this because it\'s the only hub I have currently so I don\'t believe one needs to have multiple hubs to get a better score.

I think the score may have to do more with content and quantity than anything. Test it! My hub is completely original and it\'s just under 1700 words. I can\'t write 300 - 500 words for anything, heck I\'m just getting warmed up at 700! ;)

I hope this helps with your research and best of luck to you

The info you got from ed dale and 30dc about hubpages is flawed i guess, to think that 300 words is enough for ANYWHERE on the net to be a strong SEO policy is very disjointed, I remember watching eds tutorials on hubs writing a guitar article, it was garbage and would be flagged by hub users quickly, thats actually what keeps hubs as a strong backlink unlike squidoo which is overrun with poor quality.spammy stuff. To be fair, when ed wrote it, it may have been true, but after so many people tried the method, it raised the bar..thats how it works...you gotta do just a little better than the last guy.

the nofollow goes like this under 75 for the overall hubscore OR under 40 for an individual hub ...aim for 500-800 words no matter where your publishing.

even consider publishing the backlink article w/o any links than come back after its raised in score a bit and add in no more than 2 to your site

Hey,

I use Hubpages very successfully, and would strongly urge you to be patient with it. Hubpages is very easy to rank in Google because of it's staffs experience, they are ex Google.

Just to clear up a bit of information there
To get no-follow links removed you have to have
A profile score of 75+ (This is very easy to get by posting a few hubs of a decent length)
the hub with a link has to be greater than 40 score.

These rules are part of many, and may seem annoying to begine with, but they really do make Hubpages a high quality site, with plenty of high PR hubs, without the spam filled content that you find on squidoo or similar websites.

Wow - thanks a ton for this post. I've got a relatively new site I'm trying to get ranked in the SEs, and one of my strategies is to use link wheels. As of now, I've got 9 different blogs I'm using, and was planning on adding hubpages to the mix.

Being that I'm no master or guru at all this, and don't have the time to read it all out and see what's worth it and what's not (I'd rather spend my time doing than reading if I can), you just saved me a ton of time.

Thanks!
